Onsdag 29.01: "Bruk av AI innen medisin og helsevesenet", Ishita Barua
Ishita Barua er forsker ved Avdeling for helseledelse og helseøkonomi, Institutt for helse og samfunn, Det medisinske fakultet, UiO. Ishita Barua er utdannet lege og forsker på tarmkreft ved UiO og Oslo Universitetssykehus. Hun studerer hvordan AI og maskinlæring kan brukes til å skille mellom ufarlige forandringer og forstadier til kreft i tykktarmen. Hun har skrevet om AI for Morgenbladet og World Economic Forum. Hun har sittet i Fagstyret i Legeforeningen og er leder av Norsk Yngre Indremedisinsk forening, og er varamedlem i Bioteknologirådet.

Onsdag 12.02: "History and evolution of deep neural networks", Ole Christian Lingjerde
Ole Christian Lingjærde is a professor of computer science affiliated with the Biomedical Informatics Research Group (BMI) at the Department of Informatics (IFI) at University of Oslo (UiO). He is the head of the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics group in the KG Jebsen Centre for Breast Cancer Research, senior investigator in the Centre for Cancer Biomedicine (a Norwegian Centre of Excellence), and affiliated with CELS (Centre for Computational Inference in Evolutionary Life Science, UiO).
Abstract
A talk on the evolution of Neural Networks (and later Deep Neural Networks) with focus on what properties can and which properties cannot be modelled with these methods.
Onsdag 26.02: "Digital etikk", Leonora Onarheim Bergsjø
Leonora Onarheim Bergsjø er forsker på Teologisk Fakultet på UiO. Hun skriver, forsker og holder foredrag innenfor feltet digitalt etikk, og leder Dataforeningens nettverk NORDE – Norsk råd for digital etikk. Hun er svært aktuell med boken "Digital Etikk" (Universitetsforlaget, 2019).
Abstract
Et foredrag om digital etikk med fokus på etiske aspekter ved ny teknologi og valg vi må ta som ledere eller forbrukere av offentlige eller private digitale tjenester.

Jill Walker Rettberg er professor i digital kultur ved Universitetet i Bergen og PI for ERC prosjektet MACHINE VISION: Machine Vision in Everyday Life: Playful Interactions with Visual Technologies in Digital Art, Games, Narratives and Social Media. Hun leder Digital Humanities Network, Digital Culture Research Group og Digital Humanities Network på Universitetet i Bergen.
Onsdag 01.04: "Warring with Machines: Military Applications of Artificial Intelligence and the Relevance of Virtue Ethics", Gregory M. Reichberg
Gregory M. Reichberg is Research Professor at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Oslo. He heads the Oslo-based Research School on Peace and Conflict (a consortium that offers doctoral courses) and is an associate editor of the Journal of Military Ethics. Reichberg's writings include a monograph Thomas Aquinas on War and Peace (Cambridge University Press, 2017), named an "Outstanding Academic Title 2017" by Choice magazine.
Onsdag 22.04: Silvija Seres
SIlvija Seres er matematiker og teknologiinvestor. Hun har bakgrunn fra algoritmeforskning i Oxford, utvikling av søkemotoren Alta Vista i Silicon Valley, strategisk ledelse i Fast Search and Transfer, og tjenesteutvikling i Microsoft. Hun jobber nå som styremedlem i flere store selskaper, inkludert Oslo Børs og NRK, og som aktiv investor i flere teknologibedrifter. (Hentet fra hennes web-side).
