Both Joe and Pål Erik will be attending a funeral Wed. 16 Oct., so there will be no class that day. We'll try to find an alternative time for this one.

I'm going to be teaching up at UNIS (Svalbard) that week and Pål Erik will also be away that day.

Just to update you all on our progress. We finished the lectures on Chp 3 yesterday. I understand that you are doing the first half of the problems from that chapter for next week, and that's perfect. You can finish the rest of them the week after. Check with Marta on when you can hand them in. Next week we'll get started with Chapter 4.

There is a seminar at Vilhelm Bjerknes hus on Thursday (12/9), from 13:15-14:15. So we will start 15 minutes late, at 14:30, that day.

We decided to move the group session to Mondays, 12:15-14:00. They will be in the glass meeting room, here at MetOs. The first one will happen today (26/8).

Hello! The first lecture will take place in the room "Hagen 4", which is in the Forskningspark. Thereafter we'll meet mostly in Hagen 5, with a few exceptions. Contact us if you're unsure where to go. 

Attendance at the first lecture is compulsory. Students who fail to meet, are considered to have withdrawn from the course unless they have previously given notice to the Student administration (studieinfo@geo.uio.no).
