I just became aware that the lecture notes were not available as one document, from the INF4420 webpage. Now they are...

It's fine if you show up at the exam 15 minutes ahead of the official (starting) time. This may allow everyone to start solving the exam on schedule. Good luck!

About the exam, including time and place: /studier/emner/matnat/ifi/INF4420/v10/eksamen/ . The relevant topics for the exam are the chapters (and subchapters) that were covered from the textbook by Johns and Martin, as well as topics that were dealt with in the lectures.

Remember that the last lecture will take place (today) in Store Auditorium.

If you are planning NOT to take the exam, today is the deadline for informing UiO / Ifi.

The main topic for the problem solving class on Friday the 14th of May, will be problems from Exam 2009.

If you did not hand in the report today (It's 23:30 now), you might contact SA or AH to negotiate for an extended deadline, if you wish to.

A brief repetition of subjects from INF4420 will take place on Tuesday the 25th of May. Due to a Ph.D. defence taking place in Lille Auditorium we move to Store Auditorium.

Remember the mandatory project presentation on Tuesday the 11th of May. Each group is allowed 10-15 minutes to present their project work.

Micro is having a 2nd round of evaluation, scheduled for 5 minutes around 9:55 - 10:00, Tuesday the 11th of May.

Your final reports may be handed in within the 7th of May.

"Lille Aud.", where we usually stay on Tuesdays, is occupied by a ph.d. defence on the 27th of April. Instead we use room 3D in the Informatics building. You will have opportunities to get feedback on your preliminary project reports.

The problem solving class that was scheduled for May the 10th has been rescheduled to Friday May the 14th.

There are no organized activities or lectures in Lille Auditorium on Tuesday the 20th of April.

"Guide to writing a thesis: The Design and Implementation of a Nifty Gadget", by Sven Mattison may be found alongside (and embedded in) todays lecture slides.

Papers from the lecture on tuesday may be found under "Detaljert undervisningsplan". The 3rd paper by Annema et. al. is meant for the curriculum for the ph.d. students ("INF9425"), although anyone may read it..

For the Ph.D. students ("INF9425"): Included in your additional litterature, when compared to INF4420 students, is the following paper: A.-J. Annema, B. Nauta, R. van Langevelde, H. The lab session today is cancelled due to illness. If you have any questions regarding the project, feel free to send a mail to the lab advisor. Sorry for the inconvenience.

No problem solving class on Friday. However, for those of you who wish to get some help with the project, lab advisor will be present from 12:00 to 14:00 in the ROBIN lab on Friday.

The next problem solving class by Amir will take place on Friday the 5th of March (week 9). Furter information will be given soon. Regarding tomorrow's lecture starting at 9:15 at least parts of the 3rd lecture hour (11:15-12:00) may be used (for chapter 10 and the beginning of chapter 11).

Those of you taking the Ph.D. variant of this subject will get some extra questions for the exam, which formally has a "9000-code"; INF9425. You will also have to read some additional litterature, that you will get soon. This is due to new rules from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
