For those of you who do not have any background in linguistics (more specifically in syntax) we recommend that you prepare for next week's lecture by reading the background reading proposed on the Syllabus page under "Language and linguistics" (either Manning & Schütze or Jurafsky & Martin).

All of you should prepare by reading the proposed background reading for the next lecture on Dependency Grammar provided on the Syllabus page.
