Group work based class participation

Through group work, we will try to identify and discuss practical applications of ICTs for improving development outcomes. These could be related to sectors of health, climate, education, peace, or other relevant areas. In the group, you will identify from the popular press (internet, blogs, newspapers etc.) an article which discusses how ICTs have been applied to a development domain, what have been the outcomes, and has the technology contributed to “building a better world in which we live?” Your analysis should try to be critical where you challenge the conclusions presented and be bold enough to provide your own alternative explanations.

The group work – both presentation and participation – will not contribute to your final grade, but will help prepare you for answering your final exam.
