Kick-off MENA5020/9020 October 3, 09:15 in V-114

Hi all

We are starting up MENA5020/9020 Wednesday Oct 3, 09:15 in V-114. As we have understood, some of you have other teaching colliding with the planned time slots 09:15-12:00. Based on this we will agree on a new progress plan Oct 3, which will be valid from Thursday Oct 4. On Oct 3, there will be one hr for practical info and introduction, followed by a two hrs lecture over the topic "Electronic structure and chemical bonding" (see corresponding module for more info).

We plan to give teaching Oct 3, 4, 5, 7-11, 15-19 with variable 3 to 4 hrs lectures per day. The lectures will be given by Anja O. Sjåstad, Helmer Fjellvåg and some guest lectureres. Exam will be in first part of January 2019. In early January 2019 we will offer approx. 6 hrs of tutorials.

This course do not follow a specific text book. Lecture notes and hand outs uploaded in the modules define the curriculum.
