The plan for the lectures Thursday August 27th is as follows (updated 26 August):

• Discussion of exercises  2.1, 2.6 2.30 and 2.33 (the exercises to chapter 3 are postponed to next week).
• Uniform and beta distributions (sec 3.3).
• Exponential family of distributions (sec 3.4).
