In the heat of the preparations before the written exam, some further adjustments to the R-code for Ex. 6.7-6.10 have been incorporated, see Exercises from 26.4

The solution to Exercise 8.6b from 3.5 had been forgotten! This has been fixed, and Solution to exercises 3.5.2006 has now been updated.

Another error has been discovered, this time in Exercise 2.22a. Solution to exercises 1.3.2006 has been corrected.

A small correction to the R-code for Excercise 5.5. See the (updated) links in the message from 12.5 below.

R-code for Exercise 5.5 is now available here. The code requires a function inno_ma .

Another small ajustment has been made to the R-code for Exercises 6.7-8, see Exercises from 26.4 .

An extra headline: Ekamenstoff/Examination material has been introduced on the STK4060 Spring 2006 front page. Here you will find some practical information on the exam. The exam text will also be put here, in due time.

R-code for Exercise 5.5 will be available shortly.

Clever students have discovered an error in the proposed solution to Exercise 6.6 from 19.04. A revised version has been published on the web-site.

The final lecture will be on 10.05.2006. Towards the end of the lecture and exercises we will have a discussion/evaluation session in plenum. Here the students will have the opportunity to provide input on potential improvements to the course and the way it's presented. An observant student has found errors in the solutions to Exercises 2.11 (15/2) and 3.10 (8/3). The solutions on the website has now been corrected.

No lecture or exercises on 12.04.2006, due to Easter. First lecture after Easter is 19.04.2006 - in B81 (Niels Henrik Abels hus, 8 floor).

The temperature and noise level in Aud. 4 are not satisfactory, and the number of students who follow the course has been slightly reduced. Thus the lectures and exercises will move back again to B81 (Niels Henrik Abels hus, 8th floor) from April 5th.

Some students had problems obtaining the note on ACFs from the lecture 1.3.06. The original Word document has now been replaced by a .pdf version, which hopefully works better.

There will be NO lecture or exercises on 15.3 - company travel.

There has been a correction in the exercises for 1.3; the only exercises from Ch.3 will be 3.12. Note that Exercise 3.13, which was on for a while, has been removed. Don't be confused when you find that it's still on the .pdf file with this weeks exercises. We will return to it later.

After the lecture and exercises on March 1, there will be a meeting between myself and the student's representatives regarding experiences so far and the way ahead. Examination:

After strong student protests on the initial dates, the "home exam" has been advanced one week. The exam will consist of

• a "home exam", which will be distributed Friday 26.5 at 0800 and to be handed in on Monday 29.5 at 1500,
• a short (10-15 min) individual examination/discussion based on your written answer, scheduled for Wednesday 21.6.2006.

Starting 8.2.2006, the Wednesday lectures and excercises are moved to Auditorium 4 in Wilhelm Bjerknes hus.
