We are now in the process of going through the exams and you will receive a grade during the next few weeks. In the meantime, here is a link to the exam text and a solution proposal.

Also, I would greatly appreciate if you could take a few minutes to fill out this online course evaluation form. Your feedback is very important and it will help me when preparing future versions of the course.

Have a nice and relaxing summer!

I have to cancel the exercise class tomorrow. I will upload solutions to exercise set 13 to the exercise page and I will go through the mandatory assignment on Friday next week (3.5) instead. On Monday next week we will (as usual) have an ordinary lecture.

Great job on the mandatory assignment! I have now posted some feedback and comments in Canvas. Please take a look at them. On Friday (26.4) I will use the second hour of the exercise class to go through (sketches of) solutions to the problems.

Remember that the deadline for handing in your solution to the mandatory assignment is this week on Thursday at 14:30.

The mandatory assignment is now available here. The report should be submitted through Canvas and the deadline for submission is April 18 at 14:30. Note that there is only one attempt(!) to pass the assignment and you need to make a genuine attempt to solve all the problems in order to pass (but everything does not have to be entirely correct). Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions about the problems or just want to discuss some of your proposed solutions before you submit (note that you can also update your submitted solutions up until the deadline).
Happy solving!

As a heads-up, the mandatory assignment will be published next week (I will give more information about the assignment then). Also, note that we will have a written exam as the final exam in the course.

In the teaching session on Friday this week, we are going to have a lecture the first hour, finishing the BN structure learning part, and then go through the problems of exercise set 9 in the second hour.

The first set of weekly exercises has now been added to the exercise page. We will go through these together in the exercise class on Friday.

Welcome to the course Probabilistic Graphical Models where you will learn about a framework for modelling and learning systems over a collection of variables that interact with each other (Note: this is a new course, however, a similar course has been given earlier, 2021-23, under the course code STK4290). Starting on Jan 15, the plan is to have lectures on Mondays (10-12) and exercise classes on Fridays (10-12) in room 126 in the NHA building. More information about the course will be given during the first lecture. Don't hesitate to send me an email if you have any questions about the course!
