The oblig in STK4900/STK9900 is Oppgave 1 in Exam ST 301, June 5., 1999. This oblig has to be approved to enter the exam. It should be sent either by e-mail to ingeh@math.uio.no or by ordinary mail to Inge Helland, Matematisk institutt UiO, Boks 1053 Blindern, 0316 Oslo. The deadline is Friday, April 25. at 14.00 o'clock. It is permitted to discuss the assignment, but each student should send in a separate solution. State whom you have discussed with.

Correction note: The total number of degrees of freedom in the table on p. 2 should be 29, not 32. As a basis for your solution, both points of departure will be accepted.
