For students unfamiliar to exam rules and procedures at the University of Oslo, the following information meetings could be of interest: "Are you new to exams at the University of Oslo? The grades are now online.
You might notice a difference between the score and the grade. This is due to an error in the coding of the correct answer on an exercise: leading to +1 for those that answered correctly and -1 for some of you that gave the wrong answer. The assigned grades correct for this error.

for Problem set 5 we will go through the compulsory assignment. Given the time constraint, priority will be given to those exercises that created more problems (indirect utility, cost funtion, derivative of Hicksian demand, ordinary demand with quasilinear utility function, income and substitution effect). However, if some of you wants me to talk more in detail about other exercises, plese send me an email in advance (andrea.papini@econ.uio.no). I will be the seminar leader for all groups this week.

The first compulsory assignment is now active.
You can find it in Fronter, more precisely in the folder ECON3200/ECON4200 - Fellesrom 2016-høst.
Detailed instructions are enclosed.

There are two compulsory assignments.
The first one will be available on Fronter from October 4th at 10:00; answers must be submitted by October 7th at 15:00.
The second one will be available on Fronter from October 25th at 10:00; answers must be submitted by October 28th at 15:00.
Each of these assignments will consist of 10 multiple-choice questions. Each question has a unique correct answer (among 4 alternatives to choose from). To pass the compulsory assignments and have access to the final exam you need to answer correctly 13 questions out of 20.
Should you not succeed, you can still have access to the final exam by passing the "retake" compulsory assignment, which will be available on Fronter from November 1st at 10:00 to November 4th at 15:00. It will consist of 10 questions. To pass, you need to answer correctly 6 of them. The retake is open to all student.

The correct way of expressing the change in price, as some of you noted, is p'2-p2=1, so that the approx change in demand of good 1 is -1 and the new demand of good 1 is 5, and the new demand of good 2 is 75/11.
