Another annoying bug fixed, documents, more information.

BUGFIXES: 

• The lecture notes, the typeset page (21), first bullet item had an inequality wrong. Is now corrected to: f'' less than or equal to 0 everywhere <==> f concave. 
• Also, some have been asking about other errors that have been corrected ... not so strange, given the amount of text I have put out here. Sorry.

SEMINAR PROBLEMS:

• A live document at https://www.uio.no/studier/emner/sv/oekonomi/ECON4120/h19/seminarproblems.html - linked to in Canvas, from the course webpage, and from the table in the schedule. A bit too much text to be convenient for the latter. 
• If you have already seen it, please reload - I forgot to add the question on yesterday's Lagrange problem, so I had to do that a few minutes after publishing.

DRAFT PART OF EXAM ATTACHMENT uploaded in Canvas. Hopefully formula numbers etc. will be final. More will be added on the other topics of the course. 

THE WORKSHOPS: 

• Next week's room may or may not get changed. (We wonder whether it is large enough.)
• The format: You can start solving next week's seminar problems (including, when applicable: compulsory hand-ins). Seminar leaders will be present to answer questions. Nothing prepared from their side, but if it turns out that many of you are struggling on the same question, they may choose to take the board and explain.
  Workshops are not supposed to be a "quiet zone", discussions are encouraged. You are also free to review previous weeks' problem sets. 

PRACTICAL TIP FOR SUBMITTING THE COMPULSORY PAPERS:

• We strongly suggest that you write by hand. 
  If you choose to typeset, you might ...
  • ... have to spend extra time typesetting.
  • ... have to share your focus between form and maths rather than focusing on what you are asked to do. It is hard enough for me to typeset and get the maths right simultaneously.
  • ... impress nobody, since we are looking at content over form. In particular, we have had cases where people submit term papers that will obviously fail (not even attempting enough to get a passing grade), but my how much time they must have spent typing it.
  • ... get some practice for typesetting your thesis, so it might not be totally wasted.

• Several of the photocopiers in this building can scan.
  For those which work like the ones at "my" floor, it works as follows: scan button, enter your e-mail address (to get it sent to you), scan and you will receive a PDF in manageable size. Upload that.
• It is possible to take photos using e.g. your cell phone camera. If you choose that route:
  • Please compile (using whatever utility you have available) all pictures into one PDF file ...
  • ... and make sure to control resolution and file size. 
    The first-week lectures document is about 50 MB per scanned page. My cell phone easily spends 5000 on a picture.
    _{(If you are at the University, uploads will be reasonably fast - but then why not use the scanners?)}
