Exam questions from 2009 are now available, for both regular and postponed exams.

A new version of seminar set III is now available. The new version corrects an error in the third paragraph of Problem 1.

The two seminar groups start on Tuesday 14 Sept., at 12:15, and Friday 17 Sept., at 08:15. For those who have volunteered to provide suggested answers, the deadlines for uploading are Monday at 14:15 and Thursday at 10:15, resp.

The first lecture is on Thursday 2 Sep. Note the extra lecture on Fri 3 Sep. Before each lecture, lecture slides will be made available on this website. They will be organized by the book's chapters. Right now, three sets of lecture slides are available, covering chapters 1-3 in the book. See also the lecture plan.

In the seminar teaching in this course, Fronter will be used to collect and distribute the participants’ proposed solutions. Handwritten solutions are not accepted. The Faculty of Social Sciences recommends Microsoft Word for preparing solutions electronically, but other solutions are also accepted, if they are at least equally good. For students without experience in drawing figures and writing formulas in Word, an extra lecture will be arranged where this will be demonstrated. At the end of that lecture, about 15:15 – 15:45, Fronter will be presented, for those not acquainted with it. The lecture will be held by Diderik Lund on Friday, September 3, 14:15 – 15:45 in Aud 1, ES.

Welcome to the course. IMPORTANT: There will be no lecture on 26 August. The first lecture is on Thursday 2 September, with an EXTRA LECTURE on Friday 3 September 12:15-14:00 in Aud. 3.
