Banebrytende satsing med partnere i næringslivet og offentlig sektor
Å skape en ny og innovativ arena for samarbeid med næringsliv og offentlig sektor, var en viktig grunn til at vi etablerte dScience - Senter for data- og beregningsvitenskap. Nå er dScience partnerprogram en realitet, og gjennom dette programmet ser vi frem til en blomstrende videreutvikling av vår samhandling med samfunns- og næringsliv.
A groundbreaking collaboration with partners in the private and public sector
Creating a new and innovative arena for collaboration with business and public sectors was a key reason for establishing dScience – Centre for Computational and Data Science. Now, the dScience partner program is a reality, and through this program, we look forward to furthering our cooperation with business partners and the wider community.

Gunnerusmedaljen til Nils Chr. Stenseth
Gunnerusmedaljen er DKNVS’ høyeste hederstegn, og deles ut på selskapets høytidsdag i Erkebispegården 3. mars. Stenseth får medaljen for fremragende forskning innen biologi og bygging av toppforskningsmiljøer, og for en betydningsfull og omfattende innsats for fremme av vitenskapen nasjonalt og internasjonalt.
Resultatene fra Studiebarometeret 2022 er klare
Hele 3 av 4 UiO-studenter er fornøyde med studieprogrammet de går på. Det viser Studiebarometeret 2022 – undersøkelsen hvor landets studenter gir sin dom over læringsmiljø og faglig kvalitet.
Viktige endringer i Forskningsrådets søknadsbehandling / Important changes in the Research Council's application processing
Kunnskapsdepartementet har bedt oss om å redusere antall søknader og innføre tiltak som begrenser ressursbruken hos søkerne og i Forskningsrådet. Målet er 25 prosent innvilgelse, og nå innføres det to viktige hovedtiltak for FRIPRO.
The Ministry of Education has asked us to reduce the number of applications and to introduce measures that limit the use of resources by applicants and the Research Council. The target is a 25 per cent success rate. We are now introducing two main measures for FRIPRO.

Digital frukost - Communicating science in uncertainty
Knowledge gaps, competing theories, and shifting information make science communication a challenge. Who controls the flow of information – and misinformation? This event will explore the complex process of communicating science in times of uncertainty, including how to navigate the nuances of scientific uncertainty and methodological limitations, communicate effectively, and build trust with the public. Our speakers and panelists will present both historical and contemporary examples, and share their views of the role of science communication now and in the future.

Instituttleder Arne Klungland fratrer sin stilling ved Institutt for biovitenskap (IBV) for å lede det nye Senteret for fremragende forskning (SFF) Centre for Embryology and Healthy Development ved Det medisinske fakultet, Institutt for klinisk medisin. Dekanatet takker Arne for en strålende jobb ved IBV og i fakultetets instituttledergruppe, og ønsker lykke til med det nye senteret!
Head of Department Arne Klungland is resigning from his position at the Department of Biosciences (IBV) to lead the new Center of Excellence in Research (SFF) Center for Embryology and Healthy Development at the Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Clinical Medicine. The Dean's office thanks Arne for a brilliant job at IBV and in the Faculty's Department Management group, and wishes him the best of luck with the new center!
