The curriculum will be the same as last year, i.e. most of the textbook by Rogers and Yau: "A short course in cloud physics, 3rd edition", 1989; ISBN 0-08-34863-7, and then two selected recent papers from the scientific literature.

For Ph.D. students taking GEF 9310, there will in addition be two scientific papers per candidate, which they need to present to the class.

In the first two weeks, there will be lectures only. Thereafter, we will usually have lectures on Mondays and group sessions on Fridays. The lectures will be given by Jón Egill Kristjánsson, while the group sessions will be led by Kari Alterskjær.

Welcome to GEF4310/GEF9310 Cloud Physics! We start up next week. The first lecture will be given on Monday 21 January from 11:15-13:00 in room 7 at Forskningsparken. Note that the normal teaching hours will be Mondays and Fridays 10-12, but this will be shifted by 1 hour on 21 January.
