Seminar on Topic Maps Topic Maps (ISO/IEC 13250:2003) is the only international standard for Knowledge Management. The standard defines a formal data model for knowledge representation and an XML-based syntax for exchanging topic maps between systems. This lecture, by the leader of the ISO Topic Maps committee, Steve Pepper, will provide a basic introduction to Topic Maps, describing the basic concepts and the main areas of application, and also showing demos using Ontopia's free tool, the Omnigator.

Kunnskapsnettverk.no er et pilotprosjekt i regi av Moderniseringsdepartementet som gir støtte til læringsnettverk på tvers i offentlig sektor. Målet er å effektivisere samhandling og forbedre kunnskapsdeling på tvers av organisasjonsgrenser i offentlig sektor. Prosjektet tilbyr et web-basert samhandlingsverktøy til ca 60 nettverk innenfor visse pilotområder. Nettverkene, deres aktiviteter og medlemmer blir også presentert på åpne sider i portalen. Dette gjør det lettere for utenforstående å finne ut "hvem som er gode på hva". Foredraget vil presentere teknologiløsningen, erfaringer med virtuelle samhandlingsrom og erfaringene med læringsnettverk i offentlig sektor generelt.
