On Friday the 9th of December, there will be a lecture from Energy Micro. The EFM32 is the world's most energy friendly microcontroller. In this guest lecture Marius Grannæs, Ph.D., from Energy Micro will present the architecture of the EFM32, with a specific focus on low power design. Furthermore, there will be an introduction on low power programming on the EFM32. The lecture starts at 12:15, and will last for about one hour, at seminarom Perl, 2453, Ole Johan Dahls hus. Although the lecture is in an INF5420 setting, it should be interesting to others than "those deep into the silicon". Everyone's welcome. Energy Micro webpage: http://www.energymicro.com/

Reminder: Manager for IC Design at Texas Instruments Norway (former Chipcon), Arve Austad, will give a guest lecture on Friday the 4th of November, between 12:15 and 14:00. The lecture will deal with chip design for high volume production, and will take place at "Nano", 5th floor, Ifi2 (at the largest meeting room).

The first ( mandatory ) lecture in INF5420 is tentatively scheduled to take place at the 25th of August, between 12:15 -14:00. Exact place will be posted later.

We aim at having a first lecture in INF5420 at Thursday the 25th or Friday the 26th of August. Exact time will be posted later. If you plan to follow INF5420 but are occupied with other subjects at any time during these two days, please feel free to inform by sending an email to sa@ifi.uio.no . Then we can try to avoid collisions due to overlapping lecture times.
