The final pensum list is now available on Fronter, together with some sample questions and tips for the metabolism part of the lecture series. More sample questions for other parts of the course will follow later this week.

Summaries of the lectures that Al and I have given are now available on Fronter, together with an almost final pensum list (will be final beginning of next week). - Request to you: Please send Al the data for your activity measurements! (and you are welcome to come by and take a look at your beautiful crystals)

On special wish, I have now uploaded my lecture handouts at higher resolution (2 slides per page) on Class Fronter. Shortly a summary with important points for the exam will be made available and I will also post some example questions for the parts not covered by the midterm exam.

A booklet about Medical Chemistry, which includes the course pensum for this part of the course, is deposited in a box outside my office for those who have not attended the lecture.

We have to shift the exam discussion due to one make-up exam. The new time is Thursday 7/5 13:15.

The results of the midterm exam are now available on Classfronter.

I am offering a discussion of the exam questions on Friday 24/4 at 10:15.

The first organic chemistry lab has been moved yet again. The carbonyl chemistry labs are now on May 13th and 14th and those without lab experience on May12th in addition (no changes for biochemistry labs). If there are problems, please contact Tore Benneche.

Sorry - correction! The pensum list was missing the lipids part. The corrected list can now be downloaded.

The final pensum for the midterm exam is now available on Fronter.

The (voluntary) exercise on Friday 27/3 will take place in V172. It may take up to 3 hours, but you can leave at any time.

Please regularly check Classfronter for an updated pensum list. There are some small changes. - Concerning the exam language, please note that it is not possible to get the questions in both English and Norwegian; you have to choose. So far, everyone is registered with English as exam language.

Just to repeat what I announced in the course introduction: The exam questions will be in English. If someone wishes to in addition have them in Norwegian, please contact me as soon as possible, latest on 20/3.

This Friday (6/3), I will be available for a question hour after a shortened lecture (from ca. 11:30-12:00).

If you would like to prepare for the lectures concerning carbonyl chemistry, please read McMurry Chapter 17 and for the Technique lectures TL1 and 2 (MS, IR, UV/Vis) read McMurry Chapter 11. Shortly, a reading and pensum list will be made available on Class Fronter.

Class Fronter is now active and the first lecture handouts available. The course page is from now on available directly through Class Fronter (link: emneside).

For preparation of Lecture 1, please read Chapter 1 of the Biochemistry book (Horton et al.).

Please note that the course will contain Norwegian as well as English elements, as some of the lectures and laboratory exercises will be given in English.
