Problem set 09
We continue work on identical quantum particles, focusing on Bose-Einstein condensation. For the session on March 18 do this problem set from 2010, which is also linked here.
Probably the most widely used image for illustrating Bose-Einstein condensation. Do you recognize it? More info here.
For problem 1 the density of states differs (by convention) with a factor (L/2pi)^3 from the notation you are familiar with. Sorry about that. As usual you can easily find the energy density of states yourself from the density of states in phase space.
