This is roughly how I had in mind the solution should look like, but there are for several questions alternative valid approaches.

Here: /studier/emner/matnat/math/STK4011/h13/formulas.docx is a collection of definition and theorems from Casella & Berger's book. It will be distributed with exam set as an appendix, so you need not bring it.

I will also make a copy of pg. 621-626 (distributions with parametrization used in CB) and distribute it as a second appendix to the exam set.

The deadline for handing in the answer to the project is Friday November 15.

Note that the project counts 50% in the final grading of the course and is compulsory for taking the written exam December 16.

The exams for STK4011 and for STK9011 will consist of a project paper followed by a written exam.

For Monday 19/8 I will, due to the late arrival, only give a brief overview of the course at the regular time 10:15 lasting about an hour. I hope to see you there!

We will use the book by George Casella and Roger Berger: Statistical Inference, 2nd Ed., Brooks/Cole (2001). The book will be available at Akademika.
